Liqing ZHU (John), the faculty holds a Ph.D. in landscape architecture and has been a visiting scholar at Cornell University. He teaches courses including Landscape Design and Expression, and Landscape Engineering and Digital Landscape.He is the chief editor of the textbook "Beginning Landscape Design," with the second edition renamed "Landscape Design, Expression, and Post-Evaluation." His research interests include sustainable landscape design, climate change adaptation and disaster response, and digital landscape and intelligent construction.

1. "Landscape Design and Graphics" aims to help students master the basic principles of landscape design and Graphics techniques. The course covers the history and theoretical foundations of landscape design, design processes and methods, Graphics skills, and techniques. 该教师有丰富的实践经验,曾以第一作者在国际上曾获得1项IFLA(International Federation of Landscape Architects简称)卓越奖、6项IFLA荣誉奖,以及BALI(British Association of Landscape Industries简称)英国国家景观1项等荣誉;在国内,他以第一作者获得中国风景园林学会学生竞赛研究生组一等奖,并曾获得中国风景园林学会科学技术(规划设计)二等奖和三等奖,以及9项上海市勘察设计协会和上海风景园林学会三等奖。
The faculty has extensive practical experience, having won 1 IFLA (International Federation of Landscape Architects) Excellence Award, 6 IFLA Honorary Awards, and 1 BALI (British Association of Landscape Industries) UK National Landscape Award as the first author internationally. In China, he has received the first prize in the graduate student category of the Chinese Society of Landscape Architecture, as well as the second and third prizes for scientific and technological achievements (planning and design) from the same organization. He has also won 9 third prizes from the Shanghai Survey and Design Association and the Shanghai Society of Landscape Architecture.
