Design Leads Innovative Development of Manufacturing

The industrial design summit forum of the World Design Cities Conference (WDCC) 2022 kicked off on September 16 with a futuristic industrial-style 3D projection show. Representatives from colleges, universities and enterprises gathered together to discuss the great role and far-reaching influence of industrial design in urban renewal, industry leading and better life from both theoretical and practical aspects.

The theme of the summit forumis "design aggregation and innovative development". Liu Ning, president of China Industrial Design Association, remarkedin his keynote speech that design borethe dual mission of making the industry more dynamic and making the world a better place; industrial design wouldplay an increasingly important role with the developmentof science& technology, culture and society. Dong Zhanxun, director of Design Department of the School of Design of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, saidthat how design wouldlead themanufacturing andlead our industry is akey issue to solve at the moment.
