On March 7, 2019, a spring semester study abroad meeting was held in room 200 of the Yifu Building. Remarks were presented by the head of Shanghai Jiaotong University’s department of international exchange Shen Lili, Du Shuai of the design school’s office for international cooperation, and Ke Chenjuan of the international office.  Du Shuai led off the meeting.

Firstly, Shen Lili made overall remarks, and described the particular exchange programs at the school, plans for improving academic quality of study abroad programs, and elaborated on ways to apply and programs that Shanghai Jiaotong University has already established with other schools. She emphasized in particular the different lengths and types of programs available. 

Landscape architecture undergraduate student Yan Haizhou also shared her experience. She described her method of studying abroad, including her preparation for doing so, her experience living abroad, what she gained out of the coursework, and more.  

It is hoped that the meeting provided helpful information to students yearning to go abroad, and that it will help design students expand their international perspective, and adapt to the requirements for design in the new age.
