On March 29, 2019, Shanghai Jiaotong University’s 80th expert lecture on general education featured famous art archeologist and art historian Professor Zhang Pengchuan. He provided an outstanding lecture on the “Art Produced by the Silk Road.”

Through the production of artifacts, it can be seen that the Silk Road’s cultural significance developed first during the Western Han Dynasty, and continued to emerge during the Wei and Jin Dynasties, and flourished during the Tang Dynasty. The lecture provided importance intellectual knowledge for the promotion of deep cooperation on the “One Belt One Road Initiative.”
