Architecture Team from the School of Design Participated in the 

2019 International Conference for Global Chinese Academia on Energy and Built Environment


The first International Conference for Global Chinese Academia on Energy and Built Environment was held ceremoniously in Chengdu from July 19th to 22nd 2019.

The Conference was jointly hosted by Southwest Jiaotong University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the University of Colorado, and the University of Hull. It was the first international academic conference with Chinese being the official language

The purpose of this academic conference was to build the platform for cooperation and innovation exchange between Chinese people around the globe and to share the latest achievements on the use of clean energy, improvement of built environment efficiency, and the advancement of environment quality.

Professor Zhiwei Lian, Researcher Li Lan, Assistant Professor Dawei Lai, and graduate students Xueqin He and Jialin Wu from the department of architecture participated in the event.

A total of five academic presentations and posters were presented at the conference. High-quality research and outstanding presentations earned high praise from the participants, providing a strong foundation on which the School of Design at Shanghai Jiao Tong University was able to present at the international level.

The 2019 International Conference for Global Chinese Academia on Energy and Built Environment provided a communication platform for scholars around the world to share their latest research results and to thoroughly exhibit brand new theories, technology, and advancements in the field of energy and the built environment.
