The General Administrative Building is a key cultural relic listed in the eighth batch of national cultural relic units and one of the early architecture of SJTU. Designed by Zhuang Jun, a Shanghai famous architect, the building was completed in 1933. Since its establishment, it has been serving as an administrative and conference center, which has welcomed the arrival of many distinguished guests from home and abroad. It is newly renovated by Professor CAO Yongkang and his team from School of Design in 2014.
