Hanxiao LIU, a registered architect in Germany, received a bachelor's degree in applied science mechanical engineering from the University of British Columbia, Canada, in 2009, and a master's degree in architecture and a certificate in landscape architecture from the University of Pennsylvania in 2012.
After graduation, he became an architect at haascookzemmrich STUDIO2050 in Stuttgart, Germany, and founded llLab. with Luis Ricardo, David Correa, and Taichi Kuma in 2016.
His main works include San Sa Village at the foot of the Mutianyu Great Wall in Beijing, Bamboo Bamboo, Canopy and Pavilions at Impression Sanjieliu in Guilin, WAAAM the Glazed-tile factory Rural Art.Architecture Museum, the Brickyard Retreat Renovation, exploring lives in rural area and revitalization of rural art renaissance in countryside, while experimenting urban sustainable community life in urban realm.
