Doctor Chen is an associate professor and Ph.D. supervisor. She holds a Ph.D. degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Florida, USA, and has previously studied at Beijing Forestry University and Tongji University. She has been engaged in teaching, research, and practice related to landscape architecture planning and design, as well as its history and theory, for a long time. Her research focuses on: the theory and practice of health-supportive landscapes, functional evaluation and optimization of plant landscapes, low-carbon plant landscapes, etc. She has presided one National Natural Science Foundation of China project and one provincial or ministerial-level project. She has won over 10 international landscape architecture design awards, published more than 30 academic papers, and authored one monograph and one textbook.
