Dr. Zhang received her Bachelor Degree of Architecture, and Ph.D. of engineering in Zhejiang University. She was also a special research student in the Tokyo Institute of Technology, and the CSC joint Ph.D. in the University of Tokyo. She mainly engaged in the research of rural planning as well as the elderly support system. She has participated in more than 20 projects concerning the living environment in rural communities, elderly facilities, and the revival of historic districts. She has published fifteen papers in the authoritative architectural journals and international conferences.
