I received my Ph.D in botany from Beijing Forestry University in 2000, and then worked for 2 years as a postdoctor in TEDA (Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area). From 2002 to 2004, I did postdoctoral research in University of Lisbon. Thereafter, I have been a staff of Department of Landscape Architecture in School of Agriculture and Biology, Shanghai Jiaotong University until 2017. From 2018, I worked in the School of Design as the Department of Landscape Architecture was assigned to the new established School.

My research has mainly focused on 1) Development and application of garden plant resources, 2) bioremediation and phytoremediation of heavy metal contaminated soil.
