SJTU-SUTD-PolyU Joint Summer School

上海交通大学自2006年开始举办创新实践夏令营，是上海交通大学第一个Shanghai Summer  School项目，至今已举办十六届。在2009年被评为丹麦最佳国际夏令营，2012-2013两届更受到两国大使及丹麦教育大臣的高度关注。创新实践夏令营为参与学生提供一次多专业交叉、中西文化交流、产学紧密结合的自主创新与实践机会。参与学生将在多学科中外专家指导下，形成真实问题的创新解决方案。

The Innovation Practice Summer Camp, which isthe first Shanghai Summer School program of Shanghai Jiao Tong University,has been held fourteen sessions since 2006.

It was awarded the best international summercamp in Denmark in  2019. And it attracted the attention of the ambassadors of China and Denmark as well as the Danish Minister of Education in 2012 and 2013.

The Innovative Practice Summer Camp offers chances for practicing innovative design thinking and practical skills. Students will be able to collaborate with partners from other disciplines and countries, as well as industry professionals. Under the guidance of Chinese and foreign experts in various disciplines, students will develop innovative solutions for real-life problems.

在“大健康”趋势和数字化管理背景下，社区成为达成全人群全生命周期健康干预的主要作用层级。《15分钟社区生活圈规划导则》中对医疗健康有所考量，但仍需探索如何能够发现并链接区域内体医康养资源，通过公共组织、地方政府、高校、企业、NGO、市民及市民组织等多方主体的共创，构建老年友好型社区健康支持性环境的产品-服务体系解决方案。

2021年和2022年分别以“大健康背景下社区的挑战与机遇：适应于体医养康护融合的产品-服务体系设计”（线下）和“基于数据的老年友好型社区营造”（线上）为主题，组织了上海暑期学校，得到了社会各界的广泛报道和关注。

In the context of the "big health" trend and digital management, the community has become the main level of role in achieving life-cycle health interventions for the whole population. The 15-Minute Community Living Area Planning Guidelines take into account healthcare, but there is still a need to explore how to identify and link health and recreation resources in the region, and to build aproduct-services system solution for an age-friendly community health-supportive environment through the co-creation of multiple actors, including public organizations, local governments, universities, enterprises, NGOs, citizens and civic organizations.

In 2021 and 2022, with the themes of "Challenges and Opportunities for Communities in the Context of Health: Product-Service System Design for the Integration of Health Care and Health Care" (offline) and "Data-based Age-Friendly Community Building" (online) respectively, the Shanghai Summer School was organized. The Shanghai Summer School was widely reported and received a lot of attention from the community.

2023年7月17日-29日，上海交通大学联合新加坡科技设计大学、香港理工大学联合组织暑期学校，将以“健康老龄化”为主题，结合老旧社区的美好社区行动、历史文化保护区域和乡村场景，从工具、信息、情感、社交、政策、商业模式、产品-服务体系设计等角度，就老年友好型社区的健康支持性环境营造展开国际化研讨和实践探索。

From July 17th to 29th, 2023, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, together with Singapore University of Technology and Design and Hong Kong Polytechnic University, will organize a summer school on the theme of "Healthy Aging", which will combine good community action in old communities, historical and cultural preservation areas and rural scenes, and explore from the perspectives of tools, information, emotion, socialization, policy, business model, product-service system design, etc, It will discuss and explore the creation of a healthy and supportive environment for age-friendly communities from the perspectives of tools, information, emotion, social, policy, business model, product and service system design, etc.

The lectures and case study portion of the summer school will be held online from the 17th to the 21st, and the offline topics will take place from the 24th to the 29th.

30 students from Shanghai Jiao Tong University are proposed (both undergraduate and postgraduate students are eligible to apply), with preference given to those with backgrounds in design, medicine, nursing, public health management, electronic information, software engineering, mechanical engineering, engineering psychology, and other disciplines.

No tuition fees are payable for this summer school. In addition, the organisers will cover part of the accommodation costs and the rest of the costs (transport from and to the place of residence, meals during the event, etc.) will be borne by you.
