托马斯·赫斯维克是英国最知名的设计师之一，三十年来，他的作品以原创性、创造性和人性化而闻名于世。托马斯于 1994 年成立工作室，打破传统的设计学科分类，将建筑设计、城市规划、产品设计和室内设计等实践整合到一个创意工作空间中。

Thomas Heatherwick is one of the UK’s most prolific designers, whose varied work over three decades is characterized by its originality, inventiveness, and humanity.

Heatherwick 工作室的设计实践跨越多种规模、地域和类型，现已发展成为一个由 250 名设计师、制造者和发明家组成的团队。由人文体验而非既定教条作为引导，工作室打造出的场所及产品富有情感，同时将对气候影响降到最低。

Defying conventional classifications, Thomas founded his studio in 1994 to bring together architecture, urban planning, product design and interiors into a single creative workspace.

位于伦敦和上海的工作室目前正在全球10个国家开展 30 多个项目，包括与 KPF 合作的樟宜机场新 5 号航站楼、与 Bjarke Ingels Group 合作的谷歌伦敦新总部以及海南的表演艺术中心等。

From their studios in London and Shanghai, the team is currently working on over 30 projects in ten countries, including the new Changi Airport Terminal 5 with KPF, the new headquarters for Google in London in collaboration with Bjarke Ingels Group and a performing arts center in Hainan.

2024年6月19-22日，“设计上海”2024将于上海世博展览馆举办，通过精美设计探索东西方设计理念之间的融合与平衡。设计学院院长阮昕受邀出席科勒·设计上海设计论坛活动，与重量级嘉宾围绕“设计新语：构建无限可能的设计新纪元”的主题，共同探讨设计的通用语言。
